방콕 여행 중 새롭게 가본 "CRAFT 카페"는 미국 대사간 근처에 위치한 5성급 호텔 등지에 있는
초호화 카페입니다.
분위기를 생각하면 오히려 저렴하다고 생각이 들지만
실제로는 가격이 있는 CRAFT카페의 위치, 숙소의 전반적인 느낌과 시설, 그리고 전반적인 평가를 하나씩 이야기해 볼게요.
During my trip to Bangkok, I visited the newly opened "CRAFT Café," located near the U.S. Embassy, inside the luxurious 5-star Kimpton Maa-Lai Hotel. Considering its ambiance, the prices seemed reasonable, though they are still on the higher side. Let's go over the café's location, the overall feel of the hotel, facilities, and my overall evaluation one by one.

크래프트 카페는 방콕 중심부에 위치한 킴튼 마아 라이 호텔 1층에 자리 잡고 있어 접근성이 뛰어납니다. 이 호텔은 BTS 및 MRT 등 주요 교통수단과 가깝기 때문에 대중교통을 이용하는 방문객에게도 편리한 위치입니다. 특히, 주변에는 방콕의 유명한 쇼핑몰, 레스토랑, 펍 등이 밀집해 있어 도보로 다양한 명소를 즐길 수 있습니다. 한편, 호텔로 들어가는 골목이 살짝 혼잡할 수 있고, 차량 접근 시 교통이 다소 막힐 수 있어 그랩 등 차량을 이용한다면 호텔 입구에서 내려 걸어가는 것이 더 편리할 때가 있습니다.

However, the alley leading to the hotel can get a bit crowded, and traffic can be heavy if you're driving, so it might be more convenient to get dropped off at the entrance and walk in if using Grab or other ride services.

다만 호텔 카페답게 가격대가 조금 있는 편이지만, 품질과 맛을 생각하면 충분히 만족스러울 것입니다
아메리카노, 카페라떼와 같은 기본 메뉴는 맛이 준수하고 가격도 그렇게 비싸지는 않습니다.
충분히 즐길 수 있는 정도입니다.
물이나 아메리카노가 같은 가격이기때문에 기본적인 커피를 즐기는 것은 아주 현명한 선택이죠.
타이 씨푸드 포리지(Thai Seafood Porridge) 라는 음식을 도전해봤는데요,
포리지는 곡물을 물이나 우유에 넣고 끓여 만든 음식입니다.
취향에 따라 설탕이나 시럽을 첨가하는 경우도 있고, 보통 식기 전의 뜨거운 상태에서 취식을 하며, 영양분의 흡수가 용이하기 때문에 환자들에게 많이 제공된다고 합니다.
I tried a dish called Thai Seafood Porridge. Porridge is a dish made by cooking grains with water or milk, and it’s often served hot, with sugar or syrup added depending on taste. It’s nutritious and easily digestible, making it a common meal for patients. The Thai Seafood Porridge I had was filled with salmon, shrimp, squid, boiled egg, coriander, and roasted garlic. The texture was somewhere between porridge and risotto, and it wasn’t bad—it made for a decent meal.
The bacon French toast was exactly as you’d expect—basic, but done well.

어떤 곳은 동남아시아의 낙후된 곳을 정확하게 묘합니다.
이런 이중적인 것은 문제라고 생각이 들지만, 이 또한 현실이고 방콕의 매력이라고 볼 수 있습닌다.
크래프트 카페는 세련된 방콕을 느끼기에는 아주 적절한 선택으로 보입니다.
다소 비싼 가격대에도 불구하고, 세련된 분위기와 높은 퀄리티의 음식과 음료가 충분한 보상을 해줍니다.
호텔 내부에 위치한 덕분에 쾌적하고 고급스러운 환경에서 여유롭게 커피 한 잔을 즐기기에 완벽한 장소입니다.

CRAFT Café is a sophisticated spot to enjoy a leisurely time in Bangkok. Bangkok is a city with a dual character. Some parts are more sophisticated and glamorous than anywhere in the world, while others depict the underdeveloped side of Southeast Asia. This duality can be seen as a problem, but it's also part of what makes Bangkok charming.
CRAFT Café is a great choice if you want to experience the more refined side of the city. Despite the relatively high prices, the elegant atmosphere and high-quality food and drinks make it well worth the cost. Being located inside the hotel means you can enjoy your coffee in a comfortable, luxurious environment, making it a perfect place to relax.
